Our Mission

Carolina Commons : Our Mission

Carolina Commons exists to help people of all walks of life engage their creative energy and imagination as tools for making meaning and sense of the quickly changing world in which we live. By reclaiming our attention, we reconnect to our core values and by extension, our deepest selves.

Through workshops, classes, and training, we reacquaint people with the creative gifts that are everyone's birthright, and help people use those gifts to enrich their lives and the lives of others.

When we get in touch with our sense of play and active imagination, we open to seeing the beauty in the world, which allows us to see the beauty in ourselves and each other. Only then can we establish the meaningful communication that helps the world grow and heal.

Why We Are

Why Creativity Matters To Us...

I created this company and my coaching practice because I value creativity, not only as a primary means of making sense and meaning in the world but as a means of living my daily life.

In my career as a theatre creator, performer, and teacher, my favorite part of the work was in the creative process: the workshop, the rehearsal, the master class, and the collaboration where we created safe spaces in which to play, explore, and dream things into being.

Being focused on beauty and meaning in such a disciplined and trusting way elevated my daily life to what I can only compare to spiritual practice. It is in service to this unique technology of being that I started Carolina Commons.

I believe we all have access to these limitless reservoirs of creative energy, and when given the time, space, and means, anyone can experience the expansive and joyous process of deepening into themselves and the world that creative work provides so readily.

Thank you for being here. We look forward to helping you connect deeper to your own creativity.
