Service Description
Calling all Social Justice Warriors, Political Activists, and Change Makers! This course focuses on how our personal, daily living intersects with our ambitions to serve larger populations in effective social change. Through theatrical and performance tools, we explore our boundaries and identities to create more meaningful relationships to ourselves and our causes. Ghandi did not say, "Be the change you want to see in the world." What he said was: "We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As we change our own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards us." Performance provides a space for exploration in a safe environment where we are free to create new realities and experiment with possibilities. The result is an invigorated and refreshed sense of purpose and ability to engage in problem spaces with extraordinary clarity and service.
